A couple weeks ago amidst the madness of the Summer Olympic Games in London, I was fortunate enough to be the first American-- and among the first global motojournalists-- to test ride BMW's c Evolution, a work-in-progress version of what will eventually be the manufacturer's first serially produced electric scooter.
"Actually, the guys who worked on our gas scooters [the C 600 Sport and C 650 GT] were a little annoyed," one BMW representative told me at the event, "Because the electric scooter is quicker from zero to 30 mph."
Was his statement the usual PR hype, or is BMW's upcoming electric scooter really something worth getting excited about? And more importantly, what's it like to ride one of the only existing roadworthy concepts of this electric scooter?
